Fans of Islay malt whisky appreciate its robust, complex flavours. A first fill bourbon cask in the maturation process has further emphasised the inherent qualities of this fine spirit, distilled on the south shore of the Isle of Islay. On the nose there is a mellow peatiness that gives way to pear drops, soft fruits leading to dried banana. In the mouth, its classic characteristics continue with malt, peat, smoke, charcoal and honey flavours, accompanied by a gentle floral sweetness in the finish – tradition and the art of maturation in perfect harmony.
