This classic blend of single malt whisky has been specially selected to celebrate the outstanding career and achievements of Sir Geoff Palmer. In the 1960s, whilst researching grain science and technology for his PhD in Edinburgh, the young Sir Geoff invented the barley abrasion process. This ground-breaking discovery, that speeds up the malting process, revolutionised malting knowledge around the world. He went on to set up the renowned International Centre for Brewing and Distilling and was appointed Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University in 2021.

Sir Geoff has had an impact beyond the world of science. As a member of the Windrush generation, he has been an advocate of human rights, a promoter of charitable causes and, today, aged 83, his fascinating life story and accomplishments continue to inspire – now, in 2023, we raise a toast to honour Sir Geoff Palmer.
