Glenallachie 2014

Built in 1967, Glenallachie Distillery is relatively new to Speyside, but its spirit attracts a cult-like status amongst whisky lovers. Extra-long fermentation increases the bold fruitiness of Glenallachie single malt. We further refined this youthful, stylish Speysider by fully maturing it in hearty Italian wine barriques.

As clear new make spirit, this Glenallachie was filled into Barolo red wine casks from the Piedmont region. This viscous spirit has developed an attractive bright russet hue and vibrant fruitiness has woven beautifully into this succulent single malt – a sophisticated coming together of Italy and Speyside.
