Mulben Moor

Constructed in 1972, this modernist structure in the moorland of Mulben is one of two distilleries between Rothes and Keith. It takes its name from its water supply, the “shallow ford across the red stream”. First bottled as ‘Singleton’, this spicy, nutty Speyside single malt has been matured in a combination of top quality casks. Four casks have been selected to create this unique Mystery Malt; two 200-litre barrels, previously holding sweet, creamy bourbon, and two 300-litre barriques, previously holding fruity fortified wine from Madeira. An uncommon combination of oak and spirit that will puzzle, delight and reward the curious whisky lover!
