Summer Sipping with MMD
It’s the height of summer and in Speyside, the whisky business never has a siesta.
It has been wonderful watching Speyside turn from frosty fields to lush green pastures as we have transitioned from spring to summer. Our beautiful walled garden at Dallas Dhu House in Forres is in full bloom – thank you Paul!
It has been all go at Coleburn Distillery Whisky Warehouses, preparing for releases later this year – and it has certainly been t-shirt weather.

Another deliciously refreshing way of drinking single-malt Scotch whisky is in cocktails! Our team have been busy making some new creations, tying the beautiful flavour profiles of our whisky with the ingredients for a delicious hot day drink.
Mint Juelp
A minty fresh simple serve for cooling off on a hot summer’s day…
65ml Cask Craft Bourbon Finish
10 mint leaves
12.5ml sugar syrup
Ice, cubes and crushed
In a shaker, shake the Cask Craft Bourbon, mint leaves and sugar syrup with ice.
Strain into a highball glass or julep tin filled with crushed ice.
Churn gently with a long-handled spoon and top with more crushed ice.
Garnish with a sprig of mint and serve.

Cask Craft Colada
Here’s our tropical take on Scotch for summer sipping…
50ml Cask Craft Madeira
140ml pineapple juice
40ml coconut cream
25ml lime juice
Handful of ice
Pineapple, to garnish
Simply combine all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth, pour into your high glass of choice and garnish pineapple.
