Caol Ila 2014

Built in 1846, Caol Ila Distillery was named ‘Sound of Islay’ in Gaelic, after the atmospheric narrow strait that gently crashes the sea wall of its impressive stillhouse. The ethereal smoky spirit that flows from its tall copper stills is ideal for artful maturation. Caol Ila is a true favourite of our Whisky Creations Team.

We have balanced this fresh Islay single malt by finishing it for four years in compact Rye whiskey casks, from Koval Distillery, our partners in the US. Our team particularly enjoy working with these small, flavourful casks, especially when combined with pleasantly peated spirit – the results never fail to impress!
