Once a bloody battleground for ancient Scottish clans during the 16th Century, the slopes of Ben Rinnes later became a haven for illicit distillers. In 1826, a farm in the foothills of the majestic mountain was converted into a distillery. Today, the area attracts wildlife watchers, hikers, bikers, and of course, ‘drammers’ from around the world!

“Matured for its entire eleven years inside classic Bourbon barrels, this Benrinnes spirit found peace – there’s no battle or discord here. SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

REGION: Speyside

BOTTLED: 2025

DISTILLED: 2014

WOOD: Bourbon Hogshead

FINISH: 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads

In 1898, Glen Elgin was one of the last distilleries built in the 19th century by legendary whisky architect Charles Doig. Once powered by paraffin, Glen Elgin was brought into the modern era during the 1950’s. However, with long fermentation, slow distillation and worm tub condensers, Glen Elgin continues to be inspired by tradition.

“Filled into ex-bourbon hogsheads for its initial 7 years, we further matured this fruity Speysider in Oloroso Sherry casks. During its final four years, the luscious influences from the Spanish fortified wine have evolved the classic Glen Elgin spirit to create this deeply indulgent dram – excellence in the Art of Maturation.”

Nose: Toffee apple, creamy, fruit crumble

Palate: Cocoa, sweet mocha, lush red fruits

Finish: Caramel, baking spice, poached pear

“After maturing for seven years in standard hogsheads, we put this Tormore spirit into rare Caribbean rum barrels from Uitvlugt Distillery (pronounced ‘eye-flut’).
